Missing Bob Barker
Today after work I am going to pick up my two tickets to........
That's right, that awesome TV show where people win, A NEW CAR and other fancy things - is coming live to Kingsbury Hall in September! So look for Todd and I on TV because we'll probably get picked, and have awesome t-shirts, and maybe not Todd, but I'll probably make a fool out of myself. Wouldn't want to miss that!
Well, realistically, the likely hood of me getting picked to play any of the games for the price is right is very low.... but it's still a possibility! I'm going to quickly add this to my bucket list and then cross it off come September 14th!
Now, I've got to cram in as many The Price is Right TV show episodes as I can so I can be prepared. I've got a lot of work to do.... :)

Something to Remember
Oh my gosh. Please listen to this. You will have a hard time not chuckling to yourself, and you may even find yourself laughing out loud without realizing it. Happened to me and I'm a stone cold fox when it comes to laughing. ;) If it doesn't work, then just click on the title of the audio.
I need to remember to interview my kids when things like this happen. Happy Thursday!

Pie - Lates
At least that's how I like to say it.
Yesterday I went to my very first PILATES class!!!!
I chickened out on Monday, so I'm so glad I decided to buck up and go yesterday. I didn't know what to expect at all, but I certainly wasn't prepared for what I got. I had to stop a bunch of times due to butt cramps and shaking abs, and I took all the moderations she gave that make the exercises just a little easier. At one point my exercise ball slipped out from between my legs and I had to quickly chase after it... Yup I'm one of those people. At the end I was happy to be done. I may have had the phrase, "you've gotta be kidding me?!" run through my head more times than I'd like to admit, but I'm happy because I found my new obsession! It was soooo hard, but it so worth it. I can tell that if I keep doing it I'll definitely see some nice results to be proud of. So here's to day 1 down and 2 more months to go. I'm going to try to be diligent and check back in to see how I've progressed by October 23rd. Wish me luck!
P.s. oh I found this awesome picture too..... get it.... a round of applause! hahaha

#28 - Almost
So this morning I got really excited to blog about a bucket list item that I accomplished yesterday. I sat down and tried to piece together how it happened, to make sure that it sounded just as awesome as I thought was and to make it comprehensive. Then I realized I couldn't figure out how it happened. Frustrated, I retraced my steps. Okay yesterday I went to work, went to our softball game (don't worry, we DOMINATED), came home and we played Ticket to Ride with my family. Hmm...... Then the realization hit. It was in fact, just a dream. (insert sad emoticon here)
This type of experience really makes me believe in the movie Inception that much more. I swear to you I felt like my dream was really happening. Now since the wind has sufficiently blown from my sails, and in order to bring you to understand how disappointed I am that this didn't actually happen, I'm going to tell about my dream.
Bucket list item #28: Run through a car wash
*Think Little Rascals when they run through the paint shop trying to catch Alfalfa and get painted blue, or in Cinderella Story when the evil twin step sisters go through the car wash. *
Dream: I pay my $5 and walk into this dark warehouse. In front of me is the car wash, with all squirting machines in order. There is a line that has formed behind me. I walk forward onto a black mat (one like hairstylists use to make sure their feet don't die from all that standing) and a loud beeping begins. I look up and a big square brush is coming down, which then forces me to get on my stomach so it can scrub my back and head. I move forward (now somehow standing), and a blast of streaming water hits me on all sides. I open my arms (because it needs to be clean there too!) and then move forward. Two spinning soapy foam/rag arms come at me and nearly knock me over with their vigorous scrubbing. Again I walk forward and another blast of warm water hits me. I am moved forward to a high speed drying fan that makes the skin on my face and arms get all stretched and blown around. (think automatic hand dryers that make the skin on your hands all funny looking from the blowing power) Then I'm done and as happy as a lark.
Now I'm really starting to realize it's a dream because afterwards I remember that we all got in little shooter cars that used unwrapped starbursts for fuel and ammunition. Nevertheless..... it was still the most awesome imaginary experience I've had in awhile.

Disneyland!!
Alright I finally uploaded all my pictures from our California trip, so now I can dump them into here! For my personal journaling purposes I'll give a short summary, a million pictures, then some good memories at the end. :)
Day 1- Headed to St. George with Todd that evening and saw a killer sunset. I love car rides with him because we listen to music and talk about the strangest topics. Once we got to the condo we watched some Olympics then decided to give Todd a haircut.
Day 2- Chillin' like a villain in St. Geezy with all Todd's little nieces and nephews. We went to the pool, went shopping (bought my very first softball mitt -if that's not fully invested I don't know what is), and discovered my new favorite store bought ice cream (Blue Bunny Chocolate Peanut butter Cone - or something.... DOMINATION). The condo was absolutely gorgeous. I would live there full time in a heart beat.
Day 3- Woke up early, dealt with grumpy workers at McDonalds and started our drive to sunny California! What else did we do... oh yeah, drove. and drove some more. oh and a little bit more. Todd and I watched the Office, parts of Despicable Me, and Bourne Identity. Matt showed off his incredible singing talent and Camie kept us all sane with her huge bag of Gummy Bears. Eventually we did make it to Newport Beach, and oh man..... I can't tell you how much I love the beach! Newport was a new experience for me and I certainly wasn't disappointed. The water was a little chilly at first, but after I was engulfed by a few waves it turned out to be quite nice! I learned a valuable trick while there though. ALWAYS have gum in your mouth when playing in the water. Why? I'm confident that I consumed at least my months worth of salt intake during the 4 hours we were there, and the only thing stopping me from throwing up every 5 minutes was that I found a piece of gum. After the beach we took a walk on the pier, saw some massive pelicans, Todd and I escaped away to eat at the Spaghetti Factory and then we all headed back to our hotel.
Day 4- Hello California Adventure! They have really made some awesome additions since I was last in Disneyland, including CARS LAND! Man oh man I think I was just as excited as the little kids were to see Mater, Lightening, Flo's, the Cozy Cone and to take a ride through Radiator Springs. That place was magical. It was life size and perfect, and I couldn't get enough. We stayed for the parade and the World of Color which was awesome too!! I had no idea what to expect, but that World of Color was absolutely fantastic! Favorite rides in California Adventure: California Screamin', Tower of Terror, Toy Story Mania, Grizzly River Run, It's Tough to be a Bug and Radiator Springs Racers.
Day 5- Hello Disneyland! This whole experience brought back a lot of memories from when I came with my family forever ago, but Disneyland really made me excited. Which is hard to imagine more excitement was to come after I had jumped up and down with my hands waiving everywhere screaming with joy the day before. The kids were in heaven with Peter Pan, It's a Small World and some of the other kid rides. You know, I can see how Todd and I could have a blast just coming to Disneyland by ourselves, but it would never compare to how much fun it was to see all the kids get so excited and to share that happiness with them. Never. Disneyland truly is the happiest place on earth. Favorite Rides in Disneyland: Space Mountain (duh), Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Indiana Jones, Mad Tea Party, Pirates of the Caribbean and Splash Mountain.
Day 6- Because each family had kids of different age levels, who all wanted to go on different rides, we all split up and did our own thing in either California Adventure or Disneyland. It was fun to be with Todd and to ride what we wanted to ride, and we did just that. Over the three days, I think we rode a few of our favorites at least 6 times. Want to know our secret? Fast Passes. Oh wait it's not a secret. For some reason 90% of the population at Disneyland did not catch on to how amazing Fast Passes are. We would walk right through to the front of the line of every ride and listen to people moan and groan about waiting in a 120 minute line. Honestly I don't quite understand why, but I don't want to complain too much because due to people's ignorance, we were able to jump right on to every ride!
Day 7- Packed up and drove back to St. George. Stopped at the Nike Outlet, of course. :) Spent some time in the pool and played some catch with my new mitt! Then slept with gum in my mouth and woke up with gum stuck to my pants. Woke up the next morning and headed home!
Now for the PICTURES!

Procrastination
Alright Alright I know that I have a massive post ahead of me, but I am sort of putting off taking the time to upload my millions of photos. However, I just wanted to say that I've returned from the happiest place on earth with plenty of good memories! I really had so much fun being with Todd's family, they truly are amazing people.
Since I've been in sunny California the past week I suddenly want to be a beach house livin, surfin', tan skinned, blonde waves and coral toes kinda girl. It's true, they certainly do have "more bounce in California than all y'all combined." [Hold up. Now this song is stuck in my head. I looked it up and MUST share the lyrics with you.... haha so great.]

We got more bounce in California
Than all y'all combined
We got more bounce in California
We like to party all the time
We got more bounce in California
Where the hustlers all reside
We got more bounce in California
Rollin' easy when we ride
What I'm getting at is that......
haha have a good Tuesday. I'll be back with plenty of awesome things to share about Disneyland!!
