Here's a shout-out to the best Mom ever! Not only is she a phenomenal woman, she also is an amazing chef, successfully crafty, a fashionista and is constantly making us laugh. Life around these parts would be quite drab* without her around. So tonight, as tradition, she'll pick out her favorite restaurant and we will all happily dine together. I love birthdays :] Happy Birthday Mom!! We all love you and are so grateful to have you!
*My new word of the day:
Drab -
1] dull; cheerless; lacking in spirit, brightness, etc.
(It can also mean a dirty, untidy woman; a prostitute, but I meant the first definition)

Got Kids?
Wow. This could be taken one of two ways:
1] Funny joke about how many kids they have which require a massive van to fit them all;
(sometimes you gotta laugh in order not to cry I guess)
2] Got kids you want to stuff in our van? We offer free candy.
Either way.... WOW.

Book Review: Confessions of a Shopaholic
My mom convinced me to start in on this series last week when I was trying to find something to read. I wanted to take a break from my John Grisham books and read something a little different.
Well once I started reading this, I couldn't put this little treasure down! Sophie Kinsella writes so well that you breeze through the book, lol-ing (Literally) the whole way. Ms. Kinsella is absolutely hilarious. She's one person that I would LOVE to meet in person. Also I'd like to be her friend (FB friend request pending), because anyone that can create something this fantastic has got to be on my top friend list. Funny people go far.
Now to compare the book to the movie................don't. I tried at first and then realized that they were totally different. Yes, same characters, same idea, but totally different. However, I am really glad I saw the movie first because I loved every second of the movie. Then, to read the book, you get the amazingness of the movie amplified by 4 million as you delve deeper into the characters and Rebecca Bloomwood's hilarous happenings. I recommend this to EVERYONE. Even if you don't particularly like shopping - that's not the point, this book is just that good. The only allowances I will give you to not read this book have to fall under any of the following circumstances:
1] You feel embarrased to suddenly burst out in uncontrollable fits of laughter at any given moment, quite possibly while around others
2] You hate life and feel that laughing, smiling and/or happiness is of the devil
3] You are at a 1st grade reading level and are still working on finishing One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.
If you believe you fit it any of the above categories, it's fine. I just have to say, you're missing out. Now.... on to the next book: "Shopaholic takes Manhattan"
(I know I may be one of the few that finds
the legal profession SOOO interesting, really I do,
but even I get a little tired of dealing with
it all day and then reading about it at night)

Back in the Saddle Again!
Well hello my lovely blog whom I've missed terribly! Yes, I realize that the last time I was on here I had dramatically declared that I was never to blog again..... You can go ahead and call me by my new nickname, "hypocrite." Oh well, life is full of hypocracies, and times change! I finished school this last semester booyah! and so now I have nothing better to do... right?? ;) I don't mind one bit that the super-stressed Hailey is going away and I gladly welcome back the less-stressed Hailey.
For awhile I have wanted to put my blog into a book and when I started doing so, I realized how much I loved blogging. Now I'm sucked back in, and we'll see how long this relationship lasts this time around. Hopefully we'll make it after the first harsh break up.
P.S. If you read the last post..... Valentines turned out really great! Todd surprised me with some of the best smelling lotions, soap and candles ever (peach bellini.... so good I feel like I wanted to take a spoon and eat it), then my mom and Todd's mom had Valentines waiting for us when we got home for the day.
Yup I'm still a kid, and I don't mind one bit! :]

"Put a Little Love in Your Heart"
Happy Valentines Day!!!!!!!!
This morning I woke up and went straight for my closet to see what I could put together for my V-day outfit. I eliminated all of my yellows, browns, blacks, purples, greens, blues and focused solely on my pinks and reds. It's Valentines day, and regardless of if you have a significant other or not, appropriate social protocol is to dress up in as many shades of pink, red and white as you can - the more plastic heart accessories the better. Right? I got to work, and realized that no one else is living in the 5th grade like I am. Everyone dressed up normally; no feather boas, no valentines exchanges with everyone, no fun.
I think I'd like to go back to the days when I would spend all night the day before just working on my Valentines mailbox I had made into a Robot. Maybe I should have brought some Hey Arnold or Spongebob Squarepants Valentines in to work today. I know I'm always up for a "You Rock Valentine!" card. :]
I knew I had reached adulthood this year when my mom didn't make me my own personal Valentine today. (It only took 22 years to be a big girl!)
Either way, today is today and yesterday was yesterday. I'm happy for where I'm at on this Valentines day and for the chance I get to celebrate what I've felt all year long!! I love all of you!!!
P.S. I admit, I lied. I was never that creative kid that made the Robot or flushing toilet for my valentines.... I still remember who in my classes did though! So hats off to you, you will be remembered forever and I will always envy you.

Snap, Crackle, Pop
What do you call treats that are made out of fruity pebbles and marshmellows? Rice Krispies? Nope, because Rice Krispies are made out of Rice Krispies. mystery of the universe....solved. So.... with that logic, do I just call them Fruity Pebbles? If I do, and decide to tell you how Fruity Pebbles have just taken their comfortably long term #3 spot in my list of favorite treats, than you would assume I had just eaten a bowl of cereal. Now to make matters worse, say these treats were made with the generic, knock off, no name brand of Fruity Pebbles.... What are they called now?
Perfect.
This picture is one I stole from Pinterest. We ate ours too fast to be able to take a picture first.
P.S. I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!
Generic, knock off, no name brand sugar, treats.
